As an educational service consultant, Ashley helps in connecting parents and families seeking a private homeschool teacher to a trained and licensed teaching professional. Upon completion of an inquiry form and parent questionnaire, Ashley will begin her search in finding an educator best suited for the family. After a detailed review of the child’s needs, Ashley will scout applicants that fit the family’s search criteria within the local area. She will advertise the job posting through various educator platforms and within her professional educator databases. Ashley typically screens between 25-50 teacher applicants per vacancy, and as a result she has added hundreds of educators to her databases over the past decade. Ashley then supplies parents with 4-6 highly qualified and experienced educators to evaluate and interview personally. Ashley has a stringent and thorough vetting process and will only refer the top tier candidates that are best suited for the family. If the family decides to move forward in hiring a private teacher, Ashley will then draft an Employment Agreement outlining the specific job duties and expectations for both the private teacher and family for the proceeding school year. Ashley will continue to be a resource for the homeschool year in whatever ways the teacher or family may need. She will regularly collaborate with the private teacher, help guide the curriculum development, share relevant education resources and materials, and support the teacher and family’s transition to homeschooling.
